KRWG’s broadcast tower, located at the Southern NM Fairgrounds, is currently undergoing preventative maintenance in order to ensure its stability. All of the anchors and guy wires are being inspected for corrosion and will be treated to protect them for years to come. The work has been completed in several phases, the first of which was excavating the existing anchors so they could be inspected.
The rest of the work will be completed in the next three weeks. The work should not affect our broadcast signal and will ensure a stable tower for the future. KRWG’s tower is almost 40 years old so this type of maintenance critical. Stay tuned for updates
