As indicated on the masthead of our web page, KRWG will be experiencing some alterations from our regular schedule and possible outages on Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 27th & 28th). The fact that will even be on the air is simply amazing!!!
The NMSU campus will shut down the electrical power on those days to do some maintenance and upgrading of equipment. That means Milton Hall, KRWG’s home, will be completely dark.
End of story – right?
Not with our engineering crew!!!
Perhaps just short of a miracle, our intrepid staff has found a way to save the day.
On Thursday provisions were made to get enough power to the KRWG plant to keep us going. Sunday night, they will leave the warm comforts of home to crank up the generator below being tested by Mario Jimenez (l) and Mike Doiron (r). With luck, you will be able to enjoy programming on both TV and FM.
Power is expected to be fully restored Tuesday afternoon and we’ll return to normal activities.
