On behalf of the KRWG-TV staff and students, we wish to thank you for the generous donor and challenge grant partner support made to the station during the Spring Festival Membership Drive. Through your generosity we raised $38,851 and obtained 128 new members during the 2 week drive.

Included in the slide show are photos of phone volunteers, challenge grant partners and on-air hosts from the television drive. The Good Samaritan Society answered phones and provided a $1,000 challenge grant as did Best Buy and the Patron Board. San Saba represented by Sherry Ibarra answered phones and provided a $500 challenge grant. The Hispano Chamber of Commerce de Las Cruces answered phones while Director; Amanda Cruz served as on-air host along with Christina Chavez Kelley from New Mexico State University. Sitel Director, John Munoz was on hand representing the company to talk about their $1,000 challenge grant to KRWG as well. The Sertoma Club of Las Cruces challenged viewers to become new members throughout the drive with a $2,000 challenge grant. Additional volunteer on-air hosts included, Vince Vacarro, business owner of area restaurants, Lorenzo’s and Tom Mac Guguan, Patron Board member. We would also like to acknowledge Liz Higgins and Toni Martinez for volunteering their time to enter pledges during our drive.
Special thanks go out to Coca Cola, Toucan’s, Double Eagle and Lorenzo’s for providing food and beverages for all the volunteers and station crew during our live studio pledge evenings.
